The National Competition

Having helped the Doncaster team to a comprehensive victory in the South Yorkshire games, swimmers from DARTES were called up to the South Yorkshire team to take on the rest of the UK in Southampton.

A nail biting final saw South Yorkshire pipped by Merseyside after a disqualification cost 10 vital points; flipping the order from the heats.

1st - Greater Manchester
2nd - Merseyside
3rd - South Yorkshire

After an enjoyable few days the team returned to Doncaster, laden with souvenirs (t-shirts, bottles, costumes, etc).
