Bradford End of Season, 2010

A successful end to the season might have seen us return home with the Top Club award had there been one. As it was we had to settle for a skip load of medals and a late flurish for admission in to the 200m Butterfly Animal Squad.

The Team Dartes lunch time photo.

Between this little lot we brought home enough medals to present at our next meet. Not that we'd do that of course.
The growling female animals -- Grrrrrr

Every one of them completed a 200m Butterfly a few minutes beforehand. Carragh did the same, but ran off before we could round them all up in the diving pool.

7 first timers among our 18 200m Flyers (inc. the boys) in one weekend to take our season total to 30!
And who'd bet against Spiderman doing the same and joining the Animal Squad sometime soon?
We had a few small groups stay over in Shipley this year. Good for team building - not so good for that healthy, athlete diet!

When Laura ordered Vienetta we're told a single slice was expected. That little twinkle in her eye suggests she knew otherwise.
When told of Laura's meal, Ben very wisely decided not to watch her swim (sink?)

Unfortunately, when Team Manager Peter is around, not keeping your eyes wide open is often a bad mistake.
Ah ha, we finally caught them.

Isn't it strange how the girls always look keen to be on the photo, while the boys look like they'd rather run away and hide behind a starting block.
So you thought Laura was being greedy all on her own?

Nope, Holly and Leanne weren't going to sit and watch the little one scoff all the ice-cream.

Oh come on, that glass is almost as tall as Holly!
He might have the look of an innocent man, but be assured, he was there eating ice-cream too.

Now most of you will know just how hot it gets on the side of a swimming pool. Couple that with the fact that this meet is in the middle of July and you have to wonder what Oliver is doing wearing a woolly hat.
They young guys by the pool.

Unfortunately we couldn't find the camera when this little lot were dancing, so we snapped them on the bench instead.
How many medals?
Between them Shauna and Oliver finished the meet with 14 top 3 placings!

Maybe there's something to be said for wearing woolly hats.
She was no doubt thinking that she'd got away without anyone finding out about this huge glass of ice-cream.

Sorry Natasha, you'll just have to live with the ice-cream eating shame!
