National Arena Swimming League, 2011
For the second year in a row since the league's resurrection in the North East, Dartes finished 3rd in the regional final. A close battle with City of Sunderland made for an exciting finish to the evening. If Doncaster is ever going to make inroads into the lead enjoyed by City of Leeds and City of Sheffield out in front though, Doncaster's clubs must make a bigger commitment towards filling up JDS quickly!

Spot the Head!
Swimming's equivalent to a Spot the Ball competition. Just where in lane 2 do you think Max is on this turn mid-way through the opening 200m IM. Answers on an eCard to the usual address please. |

Spot the Head! (Round 2)
Slightly easier this time (but not the Sheffield guy in lane 4), can you spot our man in lane 2? Hint: lane 0 is closest to you. Some photographers cut heads off the top off photos, not us. We manage to take snaps just as they're disappearing under the water. |

Ambitious action shot!
Ahh now we're getting the hang of it. It might be a rubbish photo but somewhere in the haze is the launching rocket we call Shannon. Clear evidence that her take over was far, far too slow - be ashamed T-Rex ;-) |

Our little Dartes tattoos pop up everywhere.
One unexpected side-effect is ease of identification during a race, but they do look fabulous splashing by in training too. The only tattoo anyone should ever have - well, that and the Olympic rings of course (but only when you've earned them!) |

Veteran National League campaigner Katie Johnson started things off in the 200m IM with lots of support behind lane 2.
Now if memory serves, way back in 2005 when she contested this exact same event, Katie recorded her first ever National Qualifying Time (alas, being an unlicenced meet she had to do it again in order to count). It's unlikely that any of that was on her mind this weekend though. |

Once upon a time, Jamie's smiles were the stuff of legend.
He seems to have his serious head on these days though. Not to worry, you can always count on someone else to make the headlines. Nice try girls, but Oliver's tongue takes first prize this time. |
