Bexley Residential Weekend, 2011
We always try to add a chaperoned meet in to the event calendar, and it's usually around April. Previously we've used the Middlesboro meet, but let's face it, Crystal Palace is a little more enticing and with The Lodge on site it's practically made for the job.
So we didn't resist, we booked ourselves in, and travelled to London for a few days. Of course, we didn't actually see much of the capital.

Make yourselves at home.
After driving the mini-buses down to London, these two deserved a relaxing evening. What luck, the Crystal Palace Lodge just happens to have nice comfortable sofas for the chaperones to sit and bring order to the games room. |

They told us: Beware of the Squirrels!
With an evil grin called Os sitting on the window ledge the dreaded squirrels kept their distance - wisely so! |

The games room at the Lodge was surprisingly well equipped.
Did someone mention pool? This isn't a pool, it's a table! How are we supposed to swim on this? No boys, this isn't A Pool it's the game Pool! It's a bit like snooker, you know? |

Sign of a miss spent youth.
Once Coach Wallace had demonstrated how to play the game, the rest enthusiastically joined in. |

Hey, this is better than Ping Pong - thinks Elliot as he watches Max attempt his shot.
Will he cannonade the red in to the middle pocket, or will he miss everything on the table? Can't tell you that, sorry. |

Team Work
The older element of the squad quickly took over the pool table, so the boys moved on to table football. The black team versus the red team. |

|
Who is that faceless person?
Clearly the game was hotting up and the action taking place so fast that the poor camera couldn't keep up. |
|
|
How does he manage it?
He's like the invisible man. George just kind of appears in every photo - you don't notice him there, but he always is. Spooky! |
