Training Times: Phase 4 (Age Group Squad)
Dartes Phase 4 progressively increases the training hours throughout the age group years (10-14) in line with the ASA's LTAD guidelines. It is an introduction to elite swim training and introduces a number of the requirements expected of performance level swimmers (in particular attendance and range of competition events). Ambitious and hard working members of Phase 4 may be selected to graduate into Phase 5 when they reach the required age and competition level.

Be on deck 10mins prior to any pool work for blood flow.
*i: These sessions are immediately followed by 15mins of land training/injury prevention work for Phase 4. Everyone should pick two of those sessions in addition to the Saturday morning land training (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday).
Everyone in Phase 4 from 11 years upwards should attend Thursday morning. The 2nd weekday morning to be added should be Monday. Your 3rd weekday morning is Friday.
Target Hours (Attendance)
Target hours for each age are as shown in the table below. Matching these as closely and consistently as possible should be your objective and is what we ask you to do if moving in to Phase 4 at 10 or 11. Those arriving at a later age, will have a slightly customised target, with the objective of hitting those shown below in a realistic time-frame.
